the bio

Quddus Philippe is a sound facilitator, creative director and psychedelic guide based in Amsterdam. Surrounded by the instruments he calls his “bandmates”, he offers individuals and groups a life-changing experience called Sound Sanctuary. He started his career as a campus radio DJ then made a quantum leap by replacing Carson Daly as the host of MTV’s iconic show, Total Request Live. TIME Magazine called Quddus “one of pop culture’s foremost tastemakers.”

After serving as a creative consultant to Myspace Records, he felt inspired to become a mentor for emerging voices with his breakthrough program, The Creator Incubator. Eventually, it was a shamanic training that inspired a spiritual awakening and the spark to facilitate sound meditation too. Quddus proceeded to study under two of the best sound practitioners in the world. Now, he’s paying it forward and teaching others on the same path as the founder of Sound Sanctuary Academy and as the host of a podcast about the world of psychedelics called Inside with Quddus.
